The Real Estate team is responsible for managing AMP Capital’s substantial property business. This includes the investment management of AMP capital’s various property portfolios; the day – to – day management of the office, industrial and shopping centre properties in which AMP Capital invests; and researching new property opportunities.
AMP Capital Shopping Centres (AMPCSC) sits within the Real Estate division of AMP Capital Investors, and provides asset, development, and property management expertise to the shopping centres owned and/ or managed by AMP Capital Investor’s various property funds and private clients. AMPCSC also asset manages AMP’s ownership in five externally managed Westfield shopping centres, protecting and driving asset performance on behalf of the AMP owners.
Macquarie Centre is located north of the Sydney CBD at North Ryde and is managed by AMP Capital Shopping Centres. The centre has undergone a $440 million redevelopment to become a premium shopping destination, with more than 360 specialty stores over four levels. Currently the centre is home to the most international brands under roof out of any shopping centre in Australia.
The role of Security, Risk & Compliance Manager represents a leadership position within the Centre Management team that supports the Operations Manager to deliver the Business Plan objectives of the asset.
The primary areas of focus are to uphold operational safety, security of the asset and risk management throughout the centre.
Statutory and legal obligations pursuant to the delivery of the role must be observed and where required, appropriate training and procedures implemented.
The Security, Risk & Compliance Manager must at all times diligently pursue best practice environmental health and safety, risk, strategic planning, programming and budgeting, environmental and sustainable performance and sound management practices. Additionally, this role will have responsibility for managing the security contractor and their general performance and operations.
Management obligations of this role include but are not limited to; planning, organising, directing and controlling security activities throughout the centre and managing risk at all levels throughout the centre.
The Security, Risk & Compliance Manager is required to exercise judgement, set priorities and prioritise and implement risk management strategies.
- Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline (Diploma in Security, Certificate iv in Work Place Health and Safety Certificate iv in Leadership and Management) with a focus on property or retail operations.
- Relevant licence (NSW Security Licence).
- Knowledge of building /property systems and financial accounting
- Security and risk experience at a senior level as part of a shopping center or property management team
- Contractor procurement and management
- Understanding and application of risk management in the commercial property environment
- Aware of all legislative, legal and statutory requirements relevant to this position
