Purpose of the Role

This role will see you join and operate in a highly collaborative, cross functional environment. You will be responsible for the delivery of the monthly performance reporting for AMP Bank and support the Business performance manager with the Banks forecasting and strategic planning process.

 Your main responsible will include:

  • Support the Business Performance Manager in the provision of financial analysis and insights to AMP Bank
  • Preparation, production and coordination of monthly business line performance reports
  • Provision of meaningful analysis and commentary on business performance and variances to plan
  • Regular dialogue with customers to effectively capture and implement enhancements to reporting
  • Assist with the annual strategic planning process
  • Assist in preparing the annual operating plan and regular forecasting of AMP Bank results

With your solid management reporting skills and your background in the banking what we also look for in you is:

  • Relevant Tertiary or Degree qualification - Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Ideally at least 4 years relevant Financial Services experience (Bank)
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Good financial modelling capability
  • Well organised in dealing with competing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with immediate team members as well as other AMP business areas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Software application skills (expected level):
    • Microsoft Excel (advanced)
    • Smartview (advanced)
    • Microsoft Word (intermediate)
    • Microsoft Powerpoint (intermediate)
    • SAP Business Objects (intermediate)
    • PeopleSoft General Ledger (knowledge preferred)
    • PeopleSoft NVision (knowledge preferred)
    • Microsoft Access (knowledge preferred)
