Due to the continued high growth of our team in Europe and North America we are now seeking a Senior Tax Counsel, Europe & Americas to join our team.  Based in London you will work with the current Senior Tax Counsel, Europe & Americas Europe & Americas to provide further tax advisory services and tax risk management services to AMP Capital’s growing European and North American infrastructure equity investment funds.  This includes providing advice on tax matters arising on M&A activity and product structuring. Tax risk must be managed in accordance with the AMP Capital Tax Risk Management Policy.

 

This is an exciting and broad-ranging position where you will be a true and trusted advisor to the Infrastructure equity funds business.  The work will vary from advising on complex multijurisdictional investment structures and M&A due diligence work to overseeing relevant international tax compliance.   You will provide tax advisory services to design, implement and oversee carry and staff co-investment schemes in the infrastructure equity funds as well as oversee and manage the engagement with specialist tax advisors to ensure accurate, timely and commercial tax advice within pre-agreed budgets.

 

The successful candidate will be degree qualified and will ideally possess a further tax accounting / legal qualifications.  You will have at least 10 years’ tax experience, preferably across UK, European and US international infrastructure/asset management/private equity/M&A, in professional services and/or corporate environments and ideally some knowledge of VAT as it relates to cross border transactions and funds. 

 

You will have excellent communication skills and be a good collaborator in order to influence effectively.
