About the role

The purpose of the role is to support the Manager – Communications and Change and:

  • Design, write, edit, and deliver communications to internal stakeholders including advisers, customers, and senior management.
  • Assist with, and co-ordinate reporting and communication activities including regular newsletters, regulator communication, management reports, focus groups, team forums and presentations
  • The role is also responsible for ensuring that issues, trends, and themes are reported back to the Manager – Communications and Change

Business Unit summary

The purpose of the Review and Remediation team is to assess whether clients have been negatively impacted by inappropriate advice or fees received from an AMP financial adviser. If it is determined that the client has incurred a financial loss as a result of the advice or services provided, compensation may be provided to put the client back into the financial position they should have been in, had the advice been appropriate.

Duties

The Change and Communications Consultant is responsible for providing support to the Manager – Communications and Change in:

  • Designing change and implementing change initiatives
  • Drafting and implementing communications with Adviser, Customers, and other stakeholders
  • Reporting on the progress and numbers of the initiatives to senior management and external stakeholders
  • Supporting the wider team’s business plan and provide feedback that fosters continuous improvement
  • Fostering strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholder groups, both internal and external to the business.
  • Contributing to initiatives as required
  • Understanding and promoting AMP’s business priorities, the external environment, and the objectives of our key stakeholders.

Role specific capabilities

  • Experience in a Communications role and a Change environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial advice environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness, and emotional intelligence with a natural ability to appropriately adapt personal and leadership styles to maximise influence of situations
  • High degree of demonstrated integrity and business ethics
  • An understanding of the advice and service delivery process to customer

Experience required

  • Experience in a Communications role and a Change environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a financial advice environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, situational awareness, and emotional intelligence with a natural ability to appropriately adapt personal and leadership styles to maximise influence of situations
  • High degree of demonstrated integrity and business ethics
  • An understanding of the advice and service delivery process to customer
  • Tertiary or industry qualifications preferred but not mandatory
